Week 4. Quarantine

So for this week and I have painted my project. With all different colors my paint that I bought was sucky. But I cannot do much with that because all the stores that I need to go to are not open. So I bought some cheap paint from Walmart which you can tell but that’s the only thing they had that was in a set. I am going to repaint it. I dint like how the colors come out I am going to repaint it again to put a second coat on hopefully that’ll make the colors darker. I am excited to see how this ends. My blue strands for dropping look really good I’m happy with my grip glue from the hot good. It’s coming together slowly but surely and it’s very colorful. I like that it’s very colorful. It’s my style it’s also got my drip some ceramics it’s got my colorful styles From ceramics. I guess you can do ceramics and not be working with clay. But it’s been a nice experience working from home and trying to figure out how to do stuff from home. Trying to figure out how to submit paperwork‘s and stuff online. trying to figure out how to submit paperwork‘s and stuff online.trying to figure out how to submit paperwork‘s and stuff online. But yeah I’m pretty excited about it I’m almost done with it. I can’t wait to see how my summer classes are going to go over light online.

Week 3? Idk # quarantine

So I have started making things out of cardboard for my repurposing reviews I made a sculpture. There are many pieces on it and I think I’m going to start painting it soon. I have been working with a hot glue gun experimenting and trying to get drips and Webbie looking pieces on my heart. Down below there are pictures of my progress and my drips of the hot glue. I plan on painting it and making some things look like what I think they are there’s a piece on here that makes me think of the titanic I’ll probably paint it like the Titanic there’s pieces on here that looks like rain so I’ll probably make That blue and then there’s an area where it looks like a bunch of Bob is just laying there I’m going to make that a monster that is in seeping through everywhere. I really excited about this project I have put some old tile in it from my house where I worked in it to just to give it a little extra flair. But I’m pretty happy with it so far I’m just a worry about painting it and because I know the paint that I have is not very good paint and I’m worried about it actually coding the cardboard it’s not like I can go out and buy paint. I try to buy good paint out at Walmart and they just don’t come in kits I’d have to pay like $50 for different color paints and I don’t have that at the moment. But I’m super excited to see if this paint work.

Week 2

So for this week I’ve decided that I’m going to do the re-purpose and reuse project I have a ton of cardboard at home so I’m going to make a sculpture out of the cardboard down below is my first week’s work or my starting of it basically and I’m pretty excited to see how it’s gonna turn out I’m experimenting with doing like the glue drips that I do on my ceramic were the drip painting but it doesn’t seem to be turning out the way I want it to be. But I’m gonna keep working on it and maybe I’ll find a method that works looks like I have a little teardrop forming right there so down below areShares of my work and my dog that is helping me stay focused that my dog I probably would not be in here because she keeps me on track every morning I say she wakes me up she’s like studio time she takes me straight to my studio and we work.

Week 1 quarantine

So with us having to work from Home for the rest of the semester and summer classes which I have classes with Brian and summer too so excited to see how that’s gonna work out. I have decided that I need a studio at my house so I can work in a certain area. And have inspirational art pieces around so I made a studio with all my heart in it and it’s in a room by itself in my house I will show you pictures below. I’m pretty proud of my studio that I created at my house. Since all this is happened and I am doing my best and figuring out how I’m going to make it work. Because I want to graduate sometime. But I haven’t been up that to be tell the truth. I glad that I understand fully what everybody wants for me as teacher wise and I am glad that I can have a certain space and be able to do that.

Week 9

This week we had a A visitor her name was Kate Johnston. And we’re Kate Does she makes these huge pots. Which take about 100 and some pounds of clay. I really enjoyed having Katie come in and show us how to make the big pots. I really enjoyed her watching her blow dry the clay with a torch and I found it interesting that it did it wasn’t doing anything until the Clay started steaming that is really interesting to me. I’d really like to see Kate do some more work just watching her was more fun than you know anything. I really enjoyed having this visitor come in showing us how to build big objects and how to move them. I really liked her point of view on all the things that she had to say an example was that she doesn’t like women to help her move her pots she wants women to because when people see a man and a woman caring a big pot they assume that it’s the man’s and she does not like that. And I love how she figured out how to show people are her viewers that she actually was making a big pot and I love to hear how she overcome all the bad talk about her not making the pots. Down below are some pictures of her blow drying with a torch which was amazing.

This picture was sent to me by Emma Schad ,Because my phone was dead and I could no take pictures. Thank you Emma.

Pice from the wood fire that I love ❤️

Week 8

This week in ceramics we unloaded the wood fire kill. And I got some I looked back and I fell in love with it it looks amazing. I’m so happy man and it broke and that it all worked out. The colors and the design from the wood fire and are amazing. I did not know that your work could be so dangerous when it comes out of the kill I ended up cutting my finger.on one of my bowls. But overall it was an amazing experience with the word fire. And learning how to solve all the lights off the bottom was a new experience. I still have a couple pieces that need to be sold down. My Mexican dishes came out of the kiln. On our now ready for clear gate glazing. Super excitedFor all the new books that I can get with a wood fire right now. Perform is a good way to learn. We also did a category from the front to the back of the wood kill and see how it looks from different points in the kill. Super happy with all my results and had such a great time doing it and having a wonderful experience.

Week 7

The pictures aboveI would I have been working this on this week. I have been working a lot on Mexican traditional dishes. Mexican traditional dishes have lots of colors lots of wine work and lots of flour. Or that’s what I mostly see when I did my research for this project. I have made some bowls in the fight they turned out. There’s a picture of where they wood kill area is above so you can see what IUS area looks like. I have a lot of work to do today on glazing my pieces I’m hoping that my puzzle pieces for my P puzzle has been fired so I can Apoxsee and the pieces that have been broke back together. I am super excited for my puzzle to be fired so I can see what it looks like and hopefully it turns out good. I have made a bunch of Mexican tortilla holders are and I think I’m going to make more cups and I’m super excited to see what they look like I’m using two different clays. I’ve use equal parts and the beginning class play just to see which one I like better and I really haven’t picked one that I like better yet because I haven’t had a fired and I don’t know what they look like. But I’m excited to see what they look like and that’s all for this week I will let you know what I’m doing.Next will.

Week 6

Week I have made several bowls in Boston and I’m going to glaze them for the wood five. Hopefully the wood fire turns out good and my glasses will turn out nice. Hopefully I get enough people to do the wood fire and we can do a big wood fire and it’ll look really good. I have made my first Mexican dish it is a tortilla holder with lots of fjlamboyant colors. Flower designs this is what the Mexican tradition is for ceramic pots. I have designed the Mexican tortilla dish to be big and wide enough and big enough to hold tortillas probably a whole pack of tortillas. I am also made the top to where you can just sit on top of the tortilla maker you don’t want to see you. Is it seals then you will have some tortillas. And no one like soggy tortillas. Really love the color play that I’ve put into this piece it makes me very happy and I can’t wait to see it fired. And I can’t wait to see the colorful pattern that it turns out to be.

Week 5

This week I have finished my puzzle and I have also glaze the puzzle and it has been put in the kill to fire. Hopefully it looks good and does what I want to. I still have to get to see Grace into the fire as well. I also have started working on the bows I have glazed best and glazed one bowl. I really enjoy making these bowls and putting different textures on them and then coming and putting different colors and combinations to see how they look and how they turned out to be fired. I making bowls for the would kill fire hopefully you know I will get enough of them to be done. I think I have five done or five or six done. And I can’t wait to keep working on other things. I am really excited to see out how the glaze turns out on the one bowl below that has the iron oxide on the bottom and the two glaze is split in half on the bowl. I’m super excited and can’t wait to see what I do next.s

Week 4

Week three I have finished my puzzle and I love it and turned out really great and then I started working on stuff for The word fire and I made three or four bowls for it I’m hoping that they dry and turn out good if not then I guess I will just have to make more. I’m hoping that my puzzle pieces dry together like they’re supposed to and can still pop out easily like they’re supposed to. Hopefully none of them break or anything while drying and firing. I really like this project and I hope everything finishes well the rest of the way through. I am really excited and I hope that the artworks that I make will continue to be good and work well. I am super excited for our next project which I don’t know what it is yet. And I’m sure it’ll be great. I worked a lot with calories on this last project so I’m hoping to carry that into the next project.
